Anna Durga
Anna Durga brings a grounded, intuitive, and deeply informed approach to somatic healing—rooted equally in professional training, embodied practice, and lived experience.
Born in the Northeast, Anna honed her sharp wit and down-to-earth honesty early on, shaped by the forests and rolling hills of New England. In her 20s she devoted herself to extreme sports in Colorado, especially snowboarding—an exploration of motion, resilience, and identity. The inevitable injuries became the doorway into yoga, physical therapy, and holistic healing modalities, ultimately shifting her trajectory toward integrative bodywork and somatic awareness.
Since relocating to Southern California in 2010 to study Chinese Medicine, Anna has worked full-time supporting bodies in their natural capacity to move, unwind, and re-organize. She holds certifications as a Yoga and Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer (ACE), and Certified Massage Therapist.
Her bodywork draws from structural integration, fascia release, meridian and Sen line theory, and movement-based re-patterning. Anna’s sessions help clients release long-held tension, reconnect with their internal landscape, and cultivate stability—physically, emotionally, and somatically.
Beyond bodywork, Anna is a trauma-informed coach and counselor who supports clients in cultivating self-awareness, emotional resilience, and meaningful connection. Her integrative approach draws from Gestalt, Parts Work (IFS), Nonviolent Communication, and somatic modalities, all held within a compassionate, grounded understanding of how personal history shapes the present.
Having grown up with an abusive, addicted father figure and navigating her own experiences of abandonment and injury, Anna carries a lived understanding of the courage it takes to heal. This depth informs her work without defining it; she knows both the shadows and the pathways out.
Anna’s coaching blends depth with humor, professionalism with relatability. She creates a steady, shame-free space for individuals and couples to explore intimacy, communication, and personal growth—approaching the work with clarity, curiosity, and, whenever possible, a good laugh.
She believes that true healing begins with an honest relationship with yourself, and that growth is most sustainable when guided by self-compassion rather than perfectionism. Anna currently lives in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, where she cares for her home, nourishes her community, and stays connected to the natural world.
